Team Indonesia is set and ready for the 3rd
Asian Indoor Games, Saigon Superbowl, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, Oct 30 -
Nov 8.
Indonesia
will
be participating at the 3rd Asian Indoor Games 2009 for the
second time as the bowlers warmed up at Saigon Superbowl during
the unofficial practice on Friday. At the last games in
Macau, Indonesia had a relatively young and inexperienced team
of four men in which their best finish was tenth in the Team
event. This time round, Indonesia has a much more stronger
team with Ryan Lalisang leading Dennis, Rangga
and Hengky Susanto in the men's division. Over
in the women's division, in-form Tannya Roumimper is the
more fancied Indonesian women to put in a strong challenge.
After winning this year's Indonesia Open Masters crown, the
17-year-old has also had several podium finishers. Putty
Armein is also a strong medal contender after returning to
the winning circle when she picked up the ABF Tour Macau leg
title. Putty was the star of the show during the 2006 Asian
Championship in which she picked up two gold medals. Sharon
Limansantoso's experience in big tournaments will be a boost
to the team. The 2007 Indonesia Open champion won the 2007 SEA
Games Masters gold medal. 2005 SEA Games Bronze and Gold
Medalist, Novie Phang is the fourth women in the team.
